Accessibility Statement
The Israeli Ki-Aikido Federation is committed to making its services and website accessible to every person, including people with disabilities. This statement is published pursuant to the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Accessibility Adjustments to Service) Regulations, 2013.
Conformance Level
The website has been adapted to Level AA of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0, in accordance with Israeli Standard IS 5568.
Accessibility Measures
- "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page (visible on keyboard focus).
- Semantic page structure (header, nav, main, footer) with correct heading hierarchy.
- Full keyboard navigation.
- Screen-reader friendly content, including aria-label on icon-only buttons.
- Adequate color contrast between text and background.
- Clean, readable typefaces (Heebo / Inter); text can be enlarged via the browser.
- Minimum touch target size of 44×44 pixels on mobile.
- Ability to decline analytics and marketing cookies via the cookie banner.
- RTL support for Hebrew and LTR for English/Russian.
Known Limitations
- Some Japanese characters and kanji are presented as decorative content and may not be optimally read by screen readers. Textual translations are provided nearby where relevant.
- Embedded YouTube videos rely on YouTube's own accessibility features.
- Some decorative images are marked as such and are not read by screen readers.
